We have over 4,200 eyeglass and sun frames to choose from - a selection that grows regularly. In this helpful guide I've kept it short and sweet and straight to the point. I've selected five budget-friendly eyeglass frames for women that are perfect for small to medium faces. I've added a few helpful hints along the way to help you find the right eyeglass frames to highlight your best features and accomplish the perfect look.

First, don't hide your beauty behind over-sized frames. As a fashion statement, keep the Rule of 3 F's in mind. That is, glasses that "Fit, Frame, and Flatter" your face are much better than trying to make a fashion statement by hiding behind frames that are too big for your face. The term fit means that the frame should "fit" your face dimension and shape. The term "frame" means to accurately center your eyes within the frame much like you might put a picture in a frame. When we refer to "flatter" we are referring to flattering, or, the frame is just right for your face size and shape due to the choices of material, shape, color, and construction (like rimless or semi-rimless, for example).

Second, know your color wheel. A color wheel helps show the relationship between primary, secondary, and tertiary colors. Frames are available in dozens and dozens of shades and hues to compliment every face, skin tone, and ensemble you might put together. Basic black frames are also widely available but most of us can do better than basic black in eyeglass frames these days with dozens of colors being available.

Forget Prescription Eyeglasses for A Day

On most days we are more interested in prescription eyeglasses, eyeglass frames, and contact lenses online than we are in remembering historical events. But, there are few days in our lives that we will be able to remember as vividly as 9/11/2001 and we cannot let the day pass without considering the terrible loss Americans suffered in terms of lives and property lost. I'm sure that people alive in the USA on December 7, 1941 remember almost as well today the events as they unfolded in Pearl Harbor seventy three years ago. I wasn't alive back then but it is a day that still lives in infamy for those who were alive when the Japanese poked a sleeping giant and made it easy for the USA to join up for World War II with a new resolve. The events of 9/11 are a reminder that hate still lives in the world.

As for 9/11, I can remember where I was at, what I was doing, and how I first learned of the coordinated attacks that day. I even remember the time. My daughter was away at Xavier University getting ready for her morning classes when she called to make me aware of the events almost as soon as the first jet aircraft plunged into the World Trade Center's North Tower. No matter how bright, sunny, and clear the day was going to be on that Tuesday morning nothing the rest of the day mattered as we watched our TV news outlets carefully for any information that would help us come to grips with the terror we witnessed. The day blurred into a week and longer as the events were laid open. We now know that in the name of religion nineteen hateful zealots commandeered commercial jet aircraft loaded with plenty of fuel for long flights and on board the innocent lives were pawns in a ideological war waged on an unsuspecting America. Most of the victims were civilians and citizens of 90 countries died in the attacks. War upon innocent people is a particularly despicable act.
